About the Barnstable Housing Authority

Mission Statement

The Barnstable Housing Authority's Board of Commissioners consists of 5 members.  Four members are elected by the general public within the Town of Barnstable.  The fifth member is appointed by the Governor of Massachusetts.  Elected members serve 4 year terms and the State Appointee serves a 5 year term. 
Board meetings are held on the third Thursday of every month at 4 p.m.  Each month the meeting is rotated to a different elderly/handicapped property owned by the BHA.  All meetings are open to the public.  You will find a notice of upcoming regularly scheduled board meetings below and posted at the Barnstable Town Hall.

*BHA's annual meeting is held in February every year at 146 South Street.  Election of officers is held at that time. Budget meeting is held in either November OR December.*
